I bring additional knowledge to issues around trauma, addiction, relationships, parenting, infertility and miscarriage, adoption, and life transitions.
You deserve compassion and respect. As your therapist, our work together starts by forming trust and developing a relationship centered on understanding YOU and the change you hope to invite into your life. It is my belief that healing begins through honest self-reflection, more skillful communication, and learning to align our behavior with our personal values. If you are seeking support along this path, I welcome the opportunity to join you.

I work with individuals and relationships, and specialize in a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, difficulties in relationships, psychosis, and issues related to identity.
Therapy can help you free up the “stuck” places in your life, the ways of relating to yourself and others that can feel self-defeating, limiting or out of your control. These ways can lead to distress that may come in many forms: anxiety, anger, emptiness, detachment. Yet these experiences are not only a source of suffering, they are also a message that speaks to desires, passions, conflicts, and pain. Together we work to understand all this and place it in the context of where you come from and the world you live in now.

My primary focus is in providing more “bottom-up” interventions from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy to assist individuals in reprocessing and healing from trauma.
Over the course of my career as a clinical social worker, I have focused my work on providing LGBTQI-affirming psychotherapy to individuals who have experienced trauma, in its many interpersonal and systemic forms. As a white queer nonbinary femme therapist, I continue to educate myself on the privileges and power dynamics inherent in my own social position in relation to my clients, and I openly work from an anti-oppression framework.

My ideal client is someone who is willing to work with me and engage with me effectively. This includes open lines of communication and utilizing therapy times efficiently. However, I am always honest in my assessments, thoughts, and opinions with clients, and my hope is that my client will do the same. My ideal client is a client who is eager to talk and is open to feedback. My ideal client is also someone who is willing to work through set backs or challenges, together as a team.

During our time together I will work with you to foster a brave, safe space to explore your needs and goals, whether they are related to processing experiences from your past, navigating current areas where you might feel stuck, or identifying potential areas of growth. I approach my practice with warmth, compassion, understanding, wisdom, and a sense of humor.

I have experience working with trauma, PTSD and C-PTSD and offer Progressive Counting as a transformative method in addressing trauma.
Telehealth only sessions for adults 18+, I currently only have weekday morning sessions available. Therapy is a massive step in your decision to heal. The clients I work with are often hesitant and unsure if psychotherapy is the right path or have felt like they’ve been let down by the therapy process in the past. Deep emotions can be a heavy burden to bear but we can learn how to process our experiences and make space for healing our mind, body and spirit. Integrating healthy coping into daily life and accessing deep transformative healing IS possible.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
