Waitlist for new clients
I have specialized training in Trauma Therapy, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and Group Therapy.
Helping people reach their personal goals is one of the most rewarding parts of my work as a therapist. I believe that we carry the means of healing and growth within us. Therefore, you as the client will choose the direction of therapy. Many times, we just need some help listening to ourselves, clarifying our goals, and choosing the means to reach them. I see myself as a guide and resource on your journey; you decide where we are going and I do everything I can to help you get there. The sessions and course of treatment will be as structured or free-flowing as you decide.

With the right therapeutic relationship and a big box of tools in your mental health care kit, it can be easier to manage. Let me help you rediscover your peace.

I will be a companion on the journey to assist with self-exploration in a non-judgmental, person-centered, trauma-focused, culturally sensitive manner that identifies the strengths that have assisted you thus far.
My ideal client would be someone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired of struggling mentally. This person would have years of experience with close relationship failure and consistent loss, have seen or been a victim of domestic violence, been verbally or physically abused as a child, and or experienced poverty. They will have either ignored the signs or continued to survive because of fear of what others would think. The person will need to understand what they are experiencing is not their fault, and their goal is to break free of the cycle that has continued for so long.

There are many reasons that we as humans will experience chaos within ourselves and our relationships. Perfectionism, trauma, ignored emotional wounds, and underlying mental health issues are just a few of these reasons. Most people will try to ignore these things, and that may work...for a time. One thing I have come to learn in working with people is that if we don’t address these issues, we can be sure that they will eventually address us, and that can be a painful experience.

I have worked extensively with trauma and PTSD, reaching some of the issues buried deepest in the mind.
Therapy works when the individual is motivated and ready for change. Change is one of the hardest things we deal with and I am here to help with that. Be it overcoming past trauma, managing depression, anxiety or other mood disorders, the client's main concern is my main concern. I believe in an individualized approach, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and working with the client to attain their goals in a way that is most fitting to their immediate needs and adjusting as necessary.

IFS informed therapy and EMDR are somatic approaches that have been proven effective for the treatment of trauma and attachment.
A time comes in everyone's life when we need to do some growth & healing work. Thankfully the ability to grow & heal is built into our human-nature, a nature that comes alive when we receive the support we need. Therapy is for receiving this support, and in a way that fits with you.
Throughout my life, along with my broad training and experience as a therapist, I've experienced my own, and have guided others in finding their ability to overcome what's happening 'right now', no matter what happened 'back then’, and no matter what concerns there are about the future.

Families are important to me, and learning to communicate in a world where technology and careers can disconnect the family—building bonds and relationships, learning to encourage and recognize the positive in others, and rebuilding relationships. To find the importance, look at past trauma individually, explore the impact trauma has on current situations, and heal the trauma to inspire the future and achieve success.

Are you tired of experiencing the same patterns and want to heal at the root of your symptoms? I specialize in treating trauma, addictions, and self esteem issues - in particularly with women and teenagers. When my clients first come in, their lives are overrun by fear and insecurities. They carry around deep shame about who they are and never feel quite “good enough”. They want to be confident and heal the patterns that are holding them back but do not know where to start.

I enjoy working with clients to help them strengthen self-esteem, self awareness, better boundaries, heal from past trauma, or any other thing we feel needs to be addressed.
My number one goal, is to help each client become the best version of him or herself. The ups and downs in life, at times, seem nearly impossible to conquer on our own. Our mental health impacts our sleeping patterns, eating habits, it also may impact our physical health. If we address our emotional needs, we can decrease our physical pain or possible medical concerns. I look forward to working with you as you heal in your journey. Please contact me via email. Thank you!

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
