There are times in life when there doesn't seem like a way out of emotional pain. Our life histories, traumas, losses, and disappointments can run so deep that you think the only solution is to give up and stay where you are because change seems frightening. I'm confident I’m able to help you have a more joyful life, better relationships, and to create a more optimistic and exciting vision for your future. You can learn the most effective tools and recognize your strengths focusing on yourself in the now. I can teach you how to treat yourself with patience and compassion, while making a real decision to change.

An artist who never experienced being loved by a woman may look for a different therapy than someone who, after the collapse of the Twin Towers, has experienced crises of panic and is unable to travel the subway. Somebody may want to stop using drugs and alcohol, but may also be interested in finding a spiritual path. Most frequently, people do not know what they want from therapy. Finding out is part of it. Some go to therapy to solve a problem, and some to grow and look for the meaning of life, while others have both reasons.

Therapy can be a potent means of gaining insight into many individual/family issues. It can provide a safe/non-judgmental environment where one can speak and be heard. Life is ever changing. Therefore, when life changes our natural response is to attempt to maintain control of the situation and sometimes, we get stuck in familiar roles/behaviors that no longer fit our current situation. Therapy work consists of addressing one's thought processes, feelings and behaviors, understanding inner conflicts, finding new/healthier coping skills to deal with and alleviate stress.
