Life is for living. Many times in life we let past experiences, people and situations keep us from moving forward. It's easy to get bogged down in every day life and forget to work on ourselves. Fears, depression and life circumstances can interfere with individual growth, accomplishing goals and thriving. We hope and wish that problems will resolve on their own. However, most road blocks start within - the messages we receive and what we tell ourselves. Only you can love yourself enough to try. It's not easy, at times, but it is so worth the effort.

I meet with individuals, couples, and families of all ages to help them find better ways of dealing with problems disrupting their lives. Often times people find themselves repeating the same cycles of conflict, frustration, worry, fear, and shame. I work with people to identify these patterns so that they can make choices that enhance their relationships, lead to personal growth, and break from the pattern.

I treat individuals with chemical addictions (alcohol, drugs, and prescription medications) as well as those with sexually compulsive behaviors. I also treat individuals with depression and anxiety and other mood disorders. Boundary issues at home and work as well as trauma resolution and anger management are specialties.

My primary goal is to assist with them having awareness, acceptance, and then taking action with making what was once uncomfortable, comfortable; which is where the truth and the living begins.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Social and Rehabilitation Services and my Masters of Science from William Carey University in Counseling Psychology.
