Over 20 years in private practice I designed about 250 exercises for helping my clients heal. For couples, we do the same core work. All but one couple found renewed love.

Immediate Availability For New Clients. My goal as a therapist is to empower clients to seek and find their own personal truth. I believe the client is the expert of their experience and needs merely guidance and support to address their own issues. The body can sometimes tell the story that words cannot. If you desire healing through art, I incorporate art therapy, writing and movement-based experiences to support clients with accessing their own internal wisdom.

Please note: I can't take insurance but I have a sliding scale - we will figure something out! - - Everyone has their own strengths and needs, children and adults alike. Sometimes the needs are overwhelming and the strengths are hard to find. Those are times when it helps to have someone who will listen, understand, support, validate, encourage, and help. I believe it's important to honor all emotions as valid and all needs as real. I also believe those needs don't have to define who you are, and that recognizing and accepting something as real - a loss, a child's behaviors - opens the way to start making positive changes.

The Center for Healing Journeys is the first clinic in western New England to offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for mental health treatment. KAP is a holistic, client focussed approach to ketamine treatment that offers extensive preparation for ketamine sessions and thorough integration therapy following treatment. Ketamine has been found to have a powerful anti-depressant effect as well as, more generally, helping people more easily change stuck, out-dated, negative thoughts & emotional habits and patterns.

A guiding belief in my work is an unconditional regard for the individual value of each person. I have a variety of training (Pyschodynamic, cognitive behavioral, relational EFT, EMDR etc.)and use an ecelectic approach. I have been working with children and their families in a varity of settings, for almost 30 years. I have extensive experience working with a variety of diagnosis. I also have a bachelor degree in working with Young Children with Special Needs.

The best way to support healing and transformation is to combine a mind-body approach with psychotherapy. I include expressive therapies, relaxation training and mind-body awareness in my practice. This is suited to clients of all ages with anxieties, stress, blocked emotions and body image problems. I also offer dance movement therapy separately for therapy, training and presentations.

There is an illusion of privacy that truly doesn't exist when using insurance for your therapy. Personal details and a "Clinical Diagnosis" labeling you with a MENTAL ILLNESS is entered into permanent files, and can be accessed far more easily than you realize. FOR YOU TO FEEL SAFE & AUTHENTIC IN YOUR THERAPY, I DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE, OR KEEP CLINICAL NOTES & HAVE NO "PAPER TRAIL".
