Using therapeutic techniques tailored to your personality and goals in counseling, my role is to help you make the most of your strengths and abilities so that you live life to it's fullest. This is a collaborative relationship in which we work together to eliminate those obstacles that cause you depression, anxiety and other symptoms that make life more of a struggle than a joy

Both personally and professionally, I am a strong believer in the healing power of relationships. However, sometimes even our most important relationships falter, causing pain, confusion and turmoil. If you currently find yourself struggling with a relationship-related issue (spouse, romantic partner, parent/sibling, friend, boss/co-worker) I am here to listen and to help you achieve greater clarity and confidence moving forward. At the individual level, I also offer support for more personal concerns, including anxiety and depression, as well as difficult life circumstances such as processing a recent loss, divorce or past trauma.

I am a licensed counselor of mental health in Delaware and a certified marriage and family therapist. I received my Master's degree from the University of Virginia. I personalize treatment for each client's needs. While creating a warm, non-judgmental environment, I collaborate with the client to increase hope for change and optimism based on the work that we do together in therapy.

Licensed Psychologist / Career Development Specialist. I provide individual counseling and psychotherapy, working with clients across the life-span treating stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, eating disorders, relationship issues, and adjustment to change. I believe that a strong working relationship between therapist and client is essential to promote change and healing. My therapeutic style is collaborative and active, including support and empathy as well as cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness approaches. Many clients say that they appreciate my focus on identifying and working toward their goals.

At times life can be challenging; it is filled with ups and downs. It takes a strong person to ask for help when faced with the challenges life may bring. It is important for you to know that you do not have to go through these challenges alone. As a therapist, I believe that you are the expert on your life. Through guided discovery, my goal is to collaboratively work with you to help you process and work through the issues that are present in your life.

Creating an environment where clients can grow to understand themselves, make changes they want, and truly thrive is my goal. The approach I take is eclectic in that I don’t subscribe to a single form of therapy but pull from many areas in order to meet my client’s needs. My endless curiosity about people, and belief in the ability of individuals to grow, be more accepting, and kinder to themselves, drives the work I do.
