My diverse clinical experience has led me to embrace working with kids through adults; as well as families and couples. My clients are seeking therapy to navigate difficult life transitions, create repair after impactful life experiences, navigate complex relationships, regain their ability to experience a full range of emotion and have accountability without shame. Often, they are aware and understand what should be helpful to them, but struggle to turn that knowledge into change. We will work together to explore your relationship with yourself, how it developed and how it is impacting your ability to live a fulfilled life.

I am a trauma-informed, integrative, EMDR therapist. I use ego states and parts work in conjunction with somatic work to help bring ‘online’ the left and right hemispheres of your brain. I am focused on treating the whole person and would like to have an open, honest conversation about what you are looking for and your treatment wants and needs.

My clients often overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life changes with the support of emotionally focused therapy.
Way to go about taking the first step to start therapy! Life is crazy right now. It's tough to feel any balance. Stressors weigh on you and may even add to your anxiety and depression symptoms. Perhaps you or your child may be struggling and at a loss for what to do. I can support you to find the best strategies to tackle these stressors and get back to balance despite the things we can't change in the world now. I've spent many years working with individuals to navigate their symptoms to work together to make daily life feel back in balance. I have extensive training and experience to treat the whole person with a mindful approach.

As such, the security of the therapeutic relationship is primary in my mind.
So many of us feel stuck in life. Burdened by the weight of our personal history, and constrained by our fears and self-doubts about the future, it can feel increasingly constricted. We struggle to find our bearings as we're confronted with the consequences of prior choices, many that don't make sense to us when we look back at them. Therapy allows you to slow down, to lay everything out before you. It's a chance to honestly and compassionately address the parts of self you'd like to change and to remember and reclaim the parts of self you've lost, particularly the ones that made you feel alive to the possibilities of what could be.

Building a safe and trusting relationship is key in my work.
My work is largely as an innate wisdom coach, I believe you'll learn to listen and trust your own innate wisdom, as we work collaboratively to move you past what's blocking wholeness. If given the right support and nurturance, our psyches, much like our bodies, will naturally move towards healing and higher consciousness. My work combines insight and intuition with a warm, open, and interactive style.

At some point during the complex journey of life we all experience stuck points, emotional suffering, and sometimes an emotional crisis. It my deeply held belief, however, that we all have the innate ability to recover, heal and thrive. Providing an environment that facilitates healing and resilience is tremendously life-affirming work. I trust that each one of us has tremendous wisdom and strength. In partnership, we identify growth areas, goals, and strategies. Although it is essential that therapy is nurturing and nourishing, it is also hard work. I admire anyone who has the courage to push themselves out of their comfort zones.

Not currently accepting clients. My approach to working with clients is relationship-based. No one heals in isolation. I don’t believe your struggles are a mistake or even rooted in a discoverable cause. I focus on how we can stay at the evolving edge of your psychological ecosystem and pay subtle attention to information we find there through nonverbal awareness, dreams, images, and other access points for unconscious material. Talking about and analyzing the problem isn't enough, if it was you would have thought your way out of the problem already.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
