I offer brief treatment for specific challenges and longer-term treatment for more complicated and/or long-standing psychological problems. My approach to treatment is eclectic and and always individually tailored to the particular client or family.

With more than a decade of experience working with couples and families I focus primarily on relationship dynamics including marital enrichment, conflict resolution, parenting skills and behavioral problems. Additionally, I work with a broad range of mental health related concerns including anxiety, stress management, depression, grief, trauma, and various comorbidities.

My clients are young and older adults, women and men that are highly motivated to grow, learn and change. In therapy we focus on healing, recognizing strengths, maximizing new opportunities and moving powerfully into healthy relationships and life decisions. In coaching we focus on bold visioning, realizing a dream or endeavor, expanding and optimizing meaning, purpose and/or fulfillment in life. I am a licensed professional counselor, specializing in therapies (Neurofeedback, Play Therapy, Yoga) which have been demonstrated by neuroscience to be effective tools in addressing symptoms and causes of ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, TBI, tinnitus, chronic pain and some mood disorders. I believe that our bodies and minds are inextricably connected and have an enormous capacity not only to heal anything that ails us, but to take us beyond healing- to a state in which we are able to thrive. My passion is using Neurofeedback to restore, rebalance, and retrain brainwaves in the direction of health and happiness, while supporting and empowering my clients as they reclaim the thriving lives that they were meant to live.

I have over 15 years of counseling experience with clients of all ages. Multicultural issues, marriage and family, and abuse are areas close to my heart. My practice is based on serving clients with empathy and compassion, and providing coping skills to support their growth and development.

Hi there! I'm Edlíz and I love to work with young adults who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression or other mental health illness, and self-esteem/interpersonal struggles. My goal is to create a solid therapeutic alliance and create opportunities in navigating these issues for self-understanding and validation because, let's be honest, adulting can be pretty hard sometimes. My sole focus is helping people stop non-criminal sexual behavior that violates their promises, their values and/or their self-control. I help people figure out and quit engaging in behaviors such as excessive or inappropriate use of pornography, inappropriately spending money for sex (including prostitutes, strip clubs or sexual 'massage parlors'), engaging in risky sexual hook-ups, getting involved in repeated or lengthy affairs or other forms of chronic infidelity. I'm a nationally recognized Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) who has been in private practice in Atlanta for 30+ years.
