We have little control over life's challenges, however we do have control over how we chose to deal with them. I have over sixteen years of social service experience with adults, adolescents, and children in the fields of education, child welfare, delinquent youth, and mental health services. I have two master’s degrees in both Social Work and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. I very much enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I specialize in working with individuals/families challenged in their relationships and choices due to a difficulty in identifying and sharing their thoughts and emotions appropriately. I enjoy assisting clients in addressing issues and/or emotions that have caused problems in one's relationships in the home, community, and/or the workplace. Those impacted by substance abuse, both individually or as a family member are also welcomed. Other areas of focus include grief recovery, anger management; faith-based; ADHD; and whatever challenges you in life.

​Counseling isn’t one size fits all. I approach the counseling process eclectically and by meeting the patient where they are in their life. I believe it’s important to incorporate various techniques, as well as different forms of interaction that may facilitate deeper conversation and connection. I believe in order for someone to feel comfortable opening up, they have to trust. Sometimes this means stepping outside of your comfort zone. A major challenge for many individuals, couples, and families is creating and sustaining meaningful connections. Feeling connected to loved ones and friends, purposeful work, or creative endeavors is not easy. Sometimes people do not feel connected to themselves and need support in understanding their feelings and behaviors. Likewise, there are times when disconnecting from toxic relationships and activities is necessary and requires strategies and skills that are not easily acquired or encouraged by others. Stressful life transitions, traumatic events, addictive behaviors, and painful losses are concerns for many of my clients.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who obtained my Master's of Arts in Counseling from John Carroll University in 2002. I have practiced in agency,forensic and private practice settings in Cleveland over the course of the past ten years. I offer therapy sessions for adolescents, adults, couples and families using Cognitive Behavioral Techniques to help clients make desired and meaningful changes in their lives by helping them identify and reach their therapeutic goals.
