I use a person-centered approach to understand the holistic reality of my clients so they feel understood and accepted wherever they are in their lives. I believe we all have the innate capability to heal ourselves. Therefore my main role as your therapist will be to help you discover what you truly want from life and what obstacles, both internal and external, are getting in the way of you experiencing freedom and happiness. As a clinician, I have been privileged to journey with my clients through their lives and have seen many overcome substantial obstacles and make significant breakthroughs using therapy as a tool.

More recently, I have shifted my focus from clinical practice to the training of pre-licensed and early career therapists. I believe that psychotherapy can help people create more psychological space in which to live by developing a new perspective on the difficulties they face in their lives. My goal is to help people embrace their potential to live a full and satisfying life, despite the challenges they face. I have over 25 years of experience in helping individuals with a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, substance use disorders and health-related conditions. I am sensitive to individual differences related to factors such as culture, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious tradition, environment, and military experience.

I believe that insight is a powerful tool in creating change within. As a therapist, I can help you better understand the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I guide individuals through the dating process into healthy relationships. I have specialized clinical experience in helping people recover from addictions of all kinds (food, alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, codependency).

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is committed to partnering with clients to identify strategies that can help them work through life’s difficulties. I understand the complex relationship between thinking and emotions, as well as the impact it can have on mood. I treat issues of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and (sexual) trauma, substance use/abuse, grief/ loss and complex family dynamics. I have many years of experience of working with diverse populations and assisting them with developing and reaching their goals. I identify as a social work first focusing on life issues to mitigate mental health issues.

Hannah approaches therapy as a dance between the client and the therapist, where she allows the client to lead her on their journey. Hannah creates a space of both comfort and depth that allows clients to explore the inner workings of their minds as well as their day-to-day lives and relationships. With attention to both past and present aspects of her client’s experiences, Hannah holds the space for both exploration and solution-seeking.

Kelley Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois with experience in both the clinical mental health field and school counseling field. Kelley supports clients in uncovering and breaking through life's obstacles and challenges to embrace and experience being their best self. Her goal is to mobilize her clients to have self-growth and self-agency through focusing on one's strengths, finding solutions to life's challenges, and supporting in altering one's perspective to uncover the lessons in all stages of life.

I received my Master’s degree from the University of Illinois – Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work. I have an extensive background of working with teen women and young adults with a passion for those in need. I have a history of working with those who may struggle with anxiety or depression due to a variety of complex traumas or various life circumstances. I’m passionate about meeting people where they are, helping them create goals, figure out how to overcome obstacles, and celebrating them in their victories!

For many years, I have been helping my clients to lead happier and more fulfilling lives. One of my main psychotherapy approaches is cognitive-behavioral therapy, a well-established, efficient and effective form of psychotherapy. It directly targets the patient's thinking, and behavior, patterns that are producing psychological problems, and teaches the patient to change those patterns. In marital and family therapy, I help the parties to communicate better with one another and to reach agreements acceptable to all. If the children have behavior problems, I often help the parents to become more effective disciplinarians.
