I've acquired an extensive knowledge of mental illnesses and symptom management through the usage of different therapeutic modalities obtained by working with patients from different cultures and backgrounds. My experience comes from treating patients with mental, emotional problems, and with different types of addictions in both clinical and residential settings. Welcome to my practice. My name is Maggie Olivieri and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing psychodynamic psychotherapy for individuals. I help my clients understand their feelings so that they can learn to live more comfortably with the various challenges of life. Exploring earlier relationships and life experiences helps in understanding and managing feelings. With listening, empathy, and direct communication, I strive to help clients make the changes they long for. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from The University of California Berkeley and my Master of Social Work from, Loyola University of Chicago.

I am trauma-informed and EMDR certified. I am certified in integrative medicine for mental health and incorporate alternative/wholistic approaches into practice to enable mind-body balance. I l also love bringing neuroscience and conflict resolution into my practice, along with expressive arts, play, sand-tray, and attachment work, and offer walk and talk therapy. I see clients at all stages of the lifespan from infants to adults.

I am passionate about working with adults who are dealing with challenges including but not limited to: identifying and healing from trauma, identity exploration, interpersonal conflict, relationship with food and body, addictions, life transitions, eating disorders, mood disorders, stress management, and ADHD. The goal of my work with clients is for them to increase authenticity and vulnerability within the therapeutic relationship first, then translate that success to their lives outside of therapy. I empower clients with coping skills and provide a safe space for learning effective communication of and connection to emotions.

A postdoc fellow at New Insights Behavioral Health, Dr. Rebecca specializes in complex developmental posttraumatic stress, severe depression, anxiety, and co-occurring substance/alcohol use disorders. Her expertise includes adverse childhood experiences, DV/IPV, ACoA, transgenerational trauma, childhood neglect, and abuse. With strong cultural competence and experience, she focuses on underserved populations, racial/religious minorities, and helping professionals with vicarious trauma.
