I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. My education includes a Bachelors in Psychology from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and a Masters in Counseling from Houston Baptist University. I have experience working with teens, adults, families, and pre-teens. I am passionate about working with adults and children that have experienced loss, abuse, and neglect. I am also equipped in working with adults who are dealing with chemical dependency challenges ,anxiety, and depression. I have the skill set needed to address difficult teen behaviors such as oppositional defiance.

I offer psychotherapy services to adults with a wide range of presenting problems, including anxiety, mood, adjustment, and interpersonal difficulties. I especially enjoy working with survivors of trauma and have specialized training with combat Veterans and survivors of childhood abuse, rape, and interpersonal violence. I have completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and am currently completing training in Modern Psychoanalysis through the Center for Group Studies in New York.

Everyone who comes in is experiencing some sort of crisis or breakdown in their life and wants some relief from their suffering and confusion. I provide a safe, calm, comforting environment that allows us to talk about the client's concerns and figure out a way to get through the crisis and learn how to prevent future breakdowns. This will include healing past wounds and learning how to use those breakdowns as stepping stones to positive breakthroughs in the future.
