Seeking therapy can be an intimidating experience. Hat’s off to you for starting the process! My strength is my practical approach to finding a means to change ways clients have been stuck in their lives. Often that means understanding how past hurts or trauma have influenced our current attitudes, beliefs and gut-level reactions. Other times it means working on changing what is happening in the present. I specialize in depression, anxiety, coping with stress, as well as treating those who have been victims of abuse, in childhood or adulthood. I also work with adoptive families. I am EMDR, level 2 trained.

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Colorado College and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Regis University. I am dually credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor specializing in developing comprehensive treatment plans for the treatment of co-occurring disorders. My treatment focus has developed into a specialty area in treating trauma issues using body-focused somatic treatments including being a Level II EMDR certified clinician, and the incorporation of evidenced-based therapies such as CBT and DBT allowing more depth of resources in addressing individuals with life challenges.

At some point in life, perhaps now, a personal, relational, or professional crisis may pressure you toward a crossroad where you'll find yourself in unknown territory and possibly heading in a new direction. Such transitional times often feel unsettling and uncertain, even overwhelming; however, they can also be a turning point. Though difficult and often unwelcomed, this turning point can present a critical opportunity to make a real change, and finally address what you've struggled to resolve on your own, and no longer need to process alone.
