Seeking therapy is a form of wisdom and self-love. It allows you to connect within yourself so you can grow, accept and find peace. Therapy should be hopeful and positive. It should help you move forward from feeling “stuck”. I hope to empower you and your story and to assist you in forming positive self-talk. At times our thoughts can be negative and can create inner discord. I want to help support you in pausing and redirecting negative self-talk to a positive self-talk. My goal is to provide a judgement-free and inclusive space so you can build the skills to lead a healthy and happy life.

Update 10/24/23: I currently have openings for new clients. Your partner complains that you are too disorganized and scattered. In fact, they complain they have to be your private secretary. It’s impossible to find anything. You missed another dentist appointment and now they won’t even let you make another. Your boss yelled at you for being late again. Or if you are a student, you forgot to turn in the homework assignment. Nobody seems to have much sympathy and now people seem annoyed at you. You don't know how much longer you can keep your life moving forward and negative thoughts toward yourself keep growing.

My counseling philosophy involves allowing a client to be themselves and working to meet them "wherever they may be on their own self discovery journey". I have been in the counseling field for over 20 years and have tremendous experience working with several populations. I have learned that individuals have the innate capacity to grow and become their best selves, given an environment in which they can do so. Asking for help to do this can be very difficult. Regardless of the obstacles in your life, you have the capacity to move forward.

My Ideal client is someone, child, adolescent, or adult, who is ready to make a change in their behaviors, thoughts, their life. This individual may be feeling anxious, or depressed, or tired of repeating the patterns that “get them into trouble”. This individual wants to learn how to manage their feelings or thoughts, process through their situations, while gaining skills to work through those situations, and learn to let things go. I find that the individuals (children and adults) ready for change “dive right into” my therapy toys/sand tray/art supplies so that they can begin processing their issues they way that they need to.

Seeking counseling can be scary and is a big step in becoming the best version of you. I want to be someone that clients can feel safe with to discuss those not so easy topics. My main goal as a clinician is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to feel heard with the ability to discuss any and all things they feel that may be holding them back from being their best self. As a clinician, I have worked with a variety of clients with a variety of concerns. I will adapt my approach to you individually to give you the best experience I can.
