Hi! I'm Sierra. I take a collaborative approach to counseling, facilitating a safe space to learn coping skills, come to know and accept yourself, and build confidence in taking on life’s challenges. I particularly enjoy working with teens and adults navigating disability, life transitions, gender and sexuality, anxiety, depression, self esteem, and values.

It's my honor to support individuals through a variety of life's challenges. I often work with those facing fertility and family-building challenges, pregnancy and infant loss, grief & loss, trauma of all kinds, adjustment to and navigating parenthood, depression and anxiety before, during, and after pregnancy, couple's counseling, navigating the grief of a breakup or divorce, self-esteem and identity exploration, and faith transitions. I bring in many different modalities to best address the needs of the individuals and couples I serve including EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, and Gottman Couple's Counseling.

Many of us struggle with our mental health. Some of us have depression, others struggle with anxiety, many suffer with other diagnoses. For most us, there is deep seated trauma humming like a background undercurrent in our lives. These situations make it difficult to feel like you are living the life you want to live. Wendy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in trauma work. She has worked with survivors of domestic and sexual violence for nearly nine years in various capacities. She is passionate about empowering survivors using a trauma-informed approach. She has been a certified Domestic Violence Survivor Provider for the state of Utah for five years. She has spent these five years working with clients on an individual basis and in group settings, as well as educating community members and other providers on the effects of trauma.

I have worked in outpatient, residential, and acute settings. I have worked with children and adolescents with a wide variety of mental health concerns, ranging from personality disorders, behavioral disorders, substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, self-harm, trauma, and suicidal/homicidal ideation.
