I enjoy and work primarily with women of all ages, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I also focus attention on identity and career development, as well as tending to ever evolving relationship dynamics, including family of origin topics and sexual issues. I appreciate working with clients who are naturally curious, growth oriented, and open for feedback, as well as whom have goals of improving both communication and emotional expression throughout their lives.

Mark was raised in Las Vegas and moved to Reno in 2011. Mark obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology and then his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2021. Throughout his life Mark has worked in human services helping individuals from a wide range of cultures. Mark has work history with the Easter Seals of Southern NV, a company that helps support individuals with intellectual disabilities make a living and lead a fulfilling life. Mark also worked as a behavioral tutor for individuals with Autism, then transitioned to providing support for adolescents at a residential treatment facility and in foster care.

I employ a holistic therapeutic approach. The foundation of my work with individuals, couples, and families is my understanding that each person has a unique life experience, and brings a distinct perspective to the process. Providing services that span from therapy for relationship dissolution, and non-traditional relationships, anxiety and eating concerns, couples counseling and beyond. I have a special interest in adoption from start to finish, including the relationship you build with your adopted child. I offer Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

I have always loved working with and advocating for others. In my work as a therapist, I strive to teach and guide children, teens, and adults suffering and living a life that is below their potential. My ultimate goal is helping you become the person you were meant to be and to discover satisfaction and wellbeing in your life.

All the way from the desert planes of Arizona, I have made my home in the city of Reno for the past 10 years. I fell in love with the four season aesthetic as I acquired both my Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Reno. Outside of treatment, I have two other jobs including teaching part time at my alma mater and volunteering at my local Teamsters union supporting labor workers. Outside of work, if I am not fighting off dragons with my friends in D&D, I am either going through old cookbooks refining my chef skills or sipping tea with my family in the backyard gazing at the stars.

My philosophy is that of possibility; regardless of the obstacles a person may be faced with, there is almost always a solution. I provide support and guidance to help clients find solutions to life problems and work toward finding effective ways to respond to life challenges. My approach is supportive and collaborative, with a strong interest in building upon individual strengths. Goals are aimed to bring about a feeling of relief, a new perspective, and a set of strategies that promote change along with a sense of holistic well being.

As someone who coached volleyball around the country for years, I have coached and interacted with a variety of children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. Through coaching volleyball, I learned that my passion for helping others and coaching could eventually bring about a bigger purpose for me. Helping others to cope with a variety of life’s challenges while also decreasing negative self talk and increasing self love are some of the aspects I enjoy focusing on in session.

I offer an organic approach to cognitive behavioral therapy that is discreet, private, and client centered. I specialize in life transitions, whether that be a transition into adulthood, through a divorce, through depression or anxiety. Regardless of what you have heard therapy is for everyone, and something is always gained from a person working to be the best they can be. My work is fast-paced, to the point, and focused on the issues that cause my clients the most distress. I work with kids, teens, and adults and I use only evidence-based theoretical models that are proven to work through research, such as CBT and DBT. I offer a space for clients to explore, reflect, and build practical skills to handle symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, or trauma.

My experience includes leading inpatient group therapy at West Hills Behavioral Hospital here in Reno with a diverse population, ranging from children to adults. I have worked with a variety of disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar, borderline, schizophrenia, trauma and addiction. I am certified with Prepare/Enrich for premarital and marriage counseling. My clients are looking to find someone who understands, empathizes and can help them cope with their struggles. I am able to add a Christian perspective if requested.

For the last 23 years it has been my privilege to assist people in their journey of self exploration.
