I offer online video sessions as well as in-person psychotherapy sessions. I offer heart and science-based psychotherapy to growth-oriented individuals interested in deepening their capacity for resilience, coping with life’s challenges, care, connection, and meaning. Sessions are offered in person, or online via video chat. Counseling and coaching services are all informed by evidence-based psychotherapy perspectives, emphasizing primarily Compassion-Focused Therapy and related perspectives. During these times it may be best to talk with someone outside of your community of family, friends or co-workers. A warm hearted professional to lend a moment of support and guidance. I share with clients in deciding how best to approach the issues, with the intent of addressing both the current distressing symptoms and long-standing patterns of behavior that are getting in the way of a thriving life. My practice is telehealth-based, and I accept direct pay (some prefer for privacy) as well as most PPO plans as an Out of Network provider.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in providing individual psychotherapy, primarily with adults, who are experiencing challenges in coping with anxiety, depression, personal transitions, and general life stressors. I received a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and both my Doctorate of Psychology Degree and an additional Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology-Alliant International University.

I hold my master’s degree in clinical psychology and am finishing my doctoral degree. I specialize in the treatment of complex trauma, OCD, depression and anxiety. I strive to create safety with each person I work with so we can explore what is going on emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually. Trauma and stress live in the body and, in my experience, an integrated approach is most helpful, where we pay attention to feelings, physical sensations, thoughts, behaviors and images that arise during sessions. I also utilize mindfulness, and inner child healing. We will work together moving towards your goals, so that as you feel better, you will have more freedom to become the person you want to be.

As a Black Man who is Queer, I became a therapist because I understand that all behavior serves a purpose– conscious & unconscious. I aspire to help folx understand their behavior and establish coping skills needed to live the lives they've always wanted. I believe that mental/emotional suffering is unnecessary and, when possible, should be avoided using healthy coping skills. I typically work with individuals and couples who span ethnic and cultural backgrounds, are new to therapy, have encountered past turbulent therapy experiences, and whose intersections of identities are not often represented in therapeutic settings.
