My practice is primarily oriented by psychoanalytic theory. Psychoanalysis understands symptoms such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, disruptive behaviors, etc. as meaningful experiences with important histories/functions. Psychoanalysis explores the roots of problematic patterns in order to create more sustainable change.

Our particular life experiences influence our symptoms; therefore, each treatment is unique. Our internal worlds are shaped by our families, cultures, and other experiences, outside our awareness.

If you have tried different ways to manage your issues but can't seem to shake old patterns and behaviors, psychoanalytic psychotherapy may work for you.
