I believe most people are doing their best and trying to live happy, healthy lives. Sometimes, however, there are challenges along the way that need extra help. Some of these challenges may include: Depression, Anxiety, navigating life transitions and working on relationships by becoming a healthier version of yourself. In these instances, therapy can be helpful in many ways, including helping you learn to better evaluate & understand yourself, identify priorities, recognize patterns, make decisions that are right for you, challenge negative thoughts & beliefs, change self-defeating behaviors and identify & implement boundaries.
I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities to work toward client-directed goals. I want my clients to feel better at the conclusion of care and also, have the tools to maintain progress. Therefore, therapy often involves expressing yourself & processing issues as well as learning specific, tangible therapeutic skills for your individual concerns.
Overall, I believe the main goal of therapy should be to install hope. Please know that you are not alone and therapy can help. I sincerely look forward to working with you and helping you make lasting changes that will be felt by you and your loved ones for years.
