My therapeutic philosophy is grounded in positive psychology. I believe that although we face challenges, we posses strengths. My client centered approach includes narrative therapy, hope and family systems theory - genograms. I have over 17 years experience as a school counselor, I understand the school system. I know strategies to improve your child's grades. I will partner with you to strengthen your child's ability to deal with bullying, anxiety, and improve behavior.
I am an expert in fostering positive behaviors in children and adolescents with low achievement, perfectionism, hopelessness, suicide ideation, anxiety and grief. I also provide parenting skills and family therapy. In addition, I work successfully with adults providing strategies to cope with life transitions.
My experience includes working in a variety of settings with diverse populations. I conduct training for parents, therapists, psychologists, social workers, youth support personnel here in the United States and the Caribbean.
