I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with five years of clinical experience. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential programs. I have treated a variety of issues including: eating disorders, self injury, anxiety, depression, stress management, OCD, relationship issues, suicidal ideation, PTSD and trauma related issues. In my work with clients, I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. I believe in creating a supportive therapeutic relationship and working together in determining what the client's goals are for treatment.
I am an EMDR trained therapist. I am also one of the only professionals in the Kankakee/Bourbonnais area who has extensive experience and training working with eating disorders and self injury. It is with my expertise that I have empowered women of all ages to explore and walk her path to recovery.
I have an empathic, nonjudgemental, and empowering stance when working with clients. I believe that the client is the expert and I am a guide through the different stages of the recovery process. Recovery and wellness is possible and something every person deserves.
