For over 15 years, I have been using a strengths-based, interpersonal approach to therapy helping clients overcome challenges and live their best, most fulfilling lives. I believe that all of us have our own unique strengths and abilities that enable us to surmount the many obstacles that we face. Through a blend of empathy, encouragement, guidance, and challenge, I strive to help my clients access their own personal resources while teaching them new skills and strategies to overcome difficulties and prevent them from feeling stuck.
Trained in multiple therapeutic perspectives including CBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, and Emotion Focused therapies, I adapt my approach to best fit the needs of each individual person. I take particular pride in helping clients work through problems related to trauma, overcoming abuse, navigating interpersonal issues, and enhancing self-esteem.
Sometimes when we are struggling it is difficult to reach out, take action, or develop trust. I aspire for every person who works with me to feel welcomed, heard, and respected, just as they are. I aim to be an ally for clients of all identities and backgrounds. To get started, I invite you to call or email to schedule an initial assessment.
