The trauma of addiction touches all of us in one way or another. Recognizing how addiction impacts you physically, mentally, and spiritually can be an awesome awakening to an entirely new way of life. Often individuals suffer from the consequences of making high risk decisions that cause crisis for themselves and their families. Dealing with these consequences alone may increase the desire to continue substances and more negative consequences. Allow me shed light on how to end this vicious cycle. I am a dedicated and compassionate clinician that is committed to the well being of my clients and their families.

My experience includes treatment in a psychiatric setting for adults diagnosed with Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Adjustment Disorder. My extensive years of experience and specialization is working with individuals challenged with Substance Use Disorders.

I believe addiction and mental illness impacts the entire family and that family therapy is vital. The family is one of the most essential systems that will sustain the individual in early recovery. I offer family therapy to help educate and support loves ones that are also coping with the impact of addiction. It is important for the family to heal together.

This clinical supervision group is provided for those professionals seeking to be Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), according to the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board Credentialing Process. Please review and be familiar with this process. This is NOT a study group for the required exam. This groups provides clinical supervision for the purpose of gaining clinical skills in determining best practice for those individuals working in addictions counseling.

ADETS- Prime for Life

Alcohol Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) is an educational program for someone with a DWI conviction. Individuals may not have an identified substance abuse disorder but may be at risk for these disorders. PRIME for Life is the educational program curriculum. The goal of this program is to prevent any type of alcohol or drug problem and the health problems that are often caused by addiction.
