I am an experienced psychologist specializing in the treatment of adults, children, teens, and families. With adults, I help with life transitions, improve relationships with loved ones, overcome worries, sadness, and destructive habits, and build confidence. I am up-to-date with the research in treating depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, and adult ADD. With children, I help with ADHD, behavior problems, self-esteem issues, coping with major life transitions, and fighting within the family. If your child acts-out, seems distractible, or needs someone to talk to during difficult times, I can help.
My approach starts with forming a relationship with you or your child. I work to be flexible, meet your needs, and provide a personal experience. As a former director at Tom Sawyer Camps, I bring a playfulness and friendliness that kids and teens respond to well. I have a strong record of connecting with youths who are reluctant or nervous about therapy.
I also conduct cutting edge social skills groups that help children improve their ability to make and keep friends (see below). Our groups during the Covid-19 crisis are online and use role-playing games, such as Dungeons and Dragons and others, to engage children and teach successful social learning in a way the kids love.

Groups
GOALS Social Skills Group
GOALS stands for Growth Opportunities for Achieving Life Success. The GOALS Group is a social skills program targeted at children between the ages of 5 and 13. It is an experiential therapy group built upon the idea that children learn social skills more effectively from real-life interactions with their peers than from lessons and lectures from adults. The GOALS group provides children with games and activities that encourage group decision making, teamwork, and conflicts and conflict resolution between group members. There are currently several different GOALS groups conducted weekly on both weekdays and Saturday.
