Are you an educator with school-related anxiety and stress? Struggling with adjustment, dealing w/past trauma, drowning in depression or anxiety? I specialize in mental health support for teachers and school staff. Therapy is about healing trauma, finding clarity, understanding the "why", and strengthening relationship. As a retired teacher and former school-based therapist, I have the expertise to support you in your journey toward positive change, so you can feel in control, empowered, and at peace. I know how stressful being an educator can be in these times. I taught for many years, so I've been there, and I understand!
I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with mindfulness, and positive psychology to help clients to understand their feelings, impulses, thoughts, and needs. I am also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, working with ASD adults. By discovering what is going on in the brain, we can develop needed skills for healing and happiness.
Using relationships, mindfulness, and positive psychology, we integrate the different parts of our brain for healing and safety. Once we bring issues into consciousness, then we can bring it together, then we can heal. When we're able to access the implicit stuff and make it explicit, then we can change your story I "hold the space" and provide support.
