I utilize a very modern, down to earth, informal and relatable approach. I believe the focus of any good therapy begins and is held by developing a trusting, strong relationship between the therapist and client. Humor, honesty and genuineness are key components of this. My office is a judgment free, casual, and safe place to let it all out. I utilize a variety of methods in this process, even at times, often with adolescents, utilizing walks in nature or community outings depending on issue being addressed. I have a background in many settings including, crisis work, school based work and community/individual work.
I work with clients to build on the strengths they already have/ tap into their own innate ability to heal and produce personal growth. I particularly enjoy working with adults and adolescents to become empowered, improve communication, find their voice and navigate careers, school, passions, behaviors and tricky dynamics with people in their lives.
I view my work as your teammate, taking a collaborative approach, versus as an authority or utilizing a prescriptive approach. You are the expert on your own life (nobody else could be!), I am here as your guide, resource and support in developing and building on your own insights and innate strengths. Office hours are 9-4 depending on day.
