Society tends to approach and respond to womxn as if we're the caretakers of the world, including in the workplace. And whew, this can feel overwhelming! Black womxn struggle with psychological burdens that result from feeling different from others and undervalued due to race and gender, while also grappling with the emotional labor that many womxn face in their lives. Black Lives Empowered in Corporate America (BLECA)
BLECA is a program offered through your employer to Black employees working in predominantly White or non-Black work environments. Black employees too often struggle with psychological burdens that result from feeling different from others and undervalued due to race. Especially during times of heightened racial tension, racial microaggressions in the workplace can feel considerably distracting and heavy. This program is intended to help Black employees feel more empowered in work relationships and life.
