I work primarily with two types of clients: 1) Transition age youth and young adults (17-25) identifying as LGBTQIA+ and/or neurodivergent who are seeking to solidify their identity and find a footing in the emerging world of "adulthood." 2) Adult women (26-50) who struggle with depression and anxiety, often as an expression of a lack of authority in their lives be it in relation to their their marriages and partnerships, their role as a parent/caregiver, their family of origin, and their workplace. Additionally, I have extensive experience with adult children of alcoholics and I am equipped to work with clients on religious trauma.
Because I work with many college (and college-bound) students, I have worked to make my practice "mobile" so that treatment is uninterrupted during summer breaks, trips, and other events. I am licensed and able to see clients in California, Washington, Massachusetts, Arizona, and Utah.
Developing trust in and comfort with your therapist is a different process for everyone, but often we can gain at least some sense of whether a therapist fits our "style" pretty quickly. That is why I encourage a free 30-minute consultation. Please note that, with rare exception, sessions will be conducted via telehealth for the foreseeable future.
