I listen carefully and respectfully and try to help my clients learn to listen to themselves in new ways, understand themselves more fully, and find new solutions to old conflicts and problems. I view symptoms as the mind's way of trying to express something the person doesn't yet understand, and I help people uncover the meanings behind their symptoms.
We all have unconscious thoughts and feelings, wishes and fears. These can motivate us in positive ways, but they can also create problems. In therapy, we will explore and understand those hidden parts of you to help you build on the positive and change what isn't working.
