My name is James (Jim) Allington and I am a licensed psychologist with Health Services Psychologist certification from the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. My preferred pronouns are he / him / his and I have completed Safe Zone Training (Specialty training with and for people who identify as LGBTQIA?). I’ve helped in many settings, ranging from Community Mental health, state as well as governmental institutions, and universities. Thank you your time and consideration! My training includes long-term and short-term therapy, as well as Group treatment. I have worked with people in all stages of life from childhood to advanced age. In general, I engage in treatment using behaviorism, many forms of Cognitive therapies, Solution-Focused approaches, and several empirically validated treatments. Also, I can do assessments.
I am familiar with a variety of therapeutic approaches will bring to our work together the sum of decades of experience. The most effective way to engage in therapy is to work together collaboratively and I primarily use a Feminist Therapy approach. I look forward to being a part of your journey.
