Note: my practice is currently full. I try to create a space where discovery can happen. We will work towards your goals, emotional growth, and full potential. I hope to provide the trust and safety necessary for these acts of courage, and, ultimately... love. I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma (PTSD and C-PTSD), as well as life transitions, feeling stuck, wanting to learn more about yourself, and improving your quality of life in work, relationships, family, friendship, and/or community.
Something that distinguishes me from most therapists is that I have a PhD from UC Berkeley in Humanities, in addition to an MA in Psychotherapy. Both programs included Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic, Humanistic, and Existential theories, but Berkeley also offered Cultural Studies, Gender Theory, and Media Studies, which enrich my approach to therapy.
I offer a free 50-minute initial consultation, as 15 minutes is rarely enough time for you to get a sense of how we might work together. The therapeutic relationship is essential, and involves a deeply felt sense of connection, that goes beyond a therapist's training. I welcome people from all backgrounds, and look forward to the opportunity of meeting you!
