I am a Certified Sex Therapist through AASECT. I also do couples, family, and individual therapy. My clients are often people in relationships, families, or collectives who find themselves inside negative patterns and wish to break out. The goal is to help people regain their power and confidence in an alienating world. I help people work through issues that may include gender identity, intergenerational trauma, and sexual challenges. I also work with people who are facing systemic conflicts such as transphobia, fatphobia, racism, and disability.
My approach to helping people often involves a consent-based collaborative method. This means that with the client's consent, I offer an interpretation of the issues that they're facing and how it might be affecting them. I then offer my clients a chance to respond to this interpretation, which turns into a useful dialog.
Therapy is often scary for people, but I adopt a playful approach to help disarm the intensity if the issues my clients are facing. My objective is to make it safe for clients to move past avoidance of the unfamiliar. By confronting what is unknown, clients learn who they are in the world and what they want to be.

Groups
Virtual Couples Group Therapy
The group will meet monthly for 90 minutes. This will be an ongoing group which may add members/couples as we move forward. We will be focusing on many subjects including (but not limited to) communication, sexuality, finances, boundaries, care taking, division of labor, family of origin and conflict. Each partnership will be expected to commit for a minimum of 6 sessions. The group will be co-led by Jordon Anderson (they/them) LICSW, CSW and Lauren Drean (she/her) LMFT.
