My career started as a volunteer at a suicide prevention lifeline providing support for individuals in distress, and I learned that being present for people in their most vulnerable times of need is one of the most humbling yet fulfilling services I could provide. I have also worked in residential care, university, and hospital settings. I am here to guide clients who are ready to produce dynamic change in their lives. I work with clients experiencing various challenges including trauma, challenging relationships, and life transitions to name a few, and how these factors affected the client and family systems.
I primarily guide adolescents, young adults, and twins/triplets and offer individual therapy with an option for adding some family therapy sessions in congruence with individual work. I have a client-centered, mind-body approach in working with my clients to gain a better understanding of what may be contributing to their challenging experiences.
It is my goal to empower clients to explore and learn from the challenges they face for the client to learn to make choices to create dynamic change in their lives. I collaborate with clients to build on their coping skills to reach their goals. I am certified in EMDR and am trained in trauma-informed yoga, Internal Family Systems, and DBT.
