My approach to counseling is holistic, client-centered and depth oriented, which encourages personal growth, transformation, and self-empowerment. I invite the whole person to come forward, even those parts we may have strong aversions to within ourselves. I offer ways to explore the self with curiosity and compassion, assisting clients in developing more acceptance of their individuality. I believe that the mind and body work together as one, and that when we observe them together, there is potential for new insights and a deeper connection to your innate wisdom.
During the therapeutic process, I may incorporate traditional talk therapy, mindfulness, experiential and body-oriented approaches, dreaming states, connection to nature, artistic exploration, spirituality and existential experience, health and lifestyle concerns. I will meet you where you are at, and honor your unique unfolding internal process.
I have a specialization in Hakomi, a mindfulness and somatic -based approach to counseling, and a certification in the Treatment of Eating Disorders. Other areas of interest are spiritual trauma and grief.
