DBT Skills Training Group
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches behavioral skills including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. Dialectical is defined as "synthesis" or "integration of opposites." Sometimes it is necessary to find the balance between opposing forces, for example: acceptance versus change. In order to change, we first must accept that there is a problem; thus, there are two opposing truths that exist and must be integrated. DBT helps you to become aware of and balance these opposing forces in your life, while also teaching important skills to help you cope when challenges inevitably arise. New members always welcome.

Mind Body Balance
This group addresses health challenges like gastrointestinal complaints, hormone imbalances, inflammation, fatigue, and body dissatisfaction that interfere with mental health. Evidence-based treatments will be offered to decrease anxiety, improve mood, reduce inflammation, harmonize hormones, balance weight and optimize the relationship between mind and body. Treatment will be rooted in the principles of health and nutritional psychology, and functional medicine, and include mindfulness, lifestyle practices, intuitive eating, and goal setting with group accountability. The group provides a space to optimize wellness and let go of shame and criticism. No fad diets or quick fixes offered - we support root-level healing.

Group Meets
Process Group
Process group is a safe place to experiment with new ways of expressing oneself and connecting with others. The group is unstructured and open in format, meaning there is no agenda and group discussions are not topical in nature. Members will be encouraged to express feelings and thoughts openly. The space is an opportunity to develop a greater understanding of self, develop healthy interpersonal relationships with others, deepen empathy, and increase mindfulness while learning how to react effectively. The goal is that members will be able to apply what they have learned in the process group into their daily lives.
