My primary focus is on helping couples and individuals with sexual issues. In working with couples, I find dissatisfaction with partnered sex is often linked to deeper relationship difficulties and the two can be intertwined. In other instances, the therapeutic focus is primarily on enhancing technique and increasing desire rather than improving the relationship. I also work individually with women to eliminate barriers to sexual wellness and increase acceptance. I enjoy working with gay, lesbian, and heterosexual clients and have respect for sexual fluidity and variance in erotic interest.
My specialties include sexual and relationship difficulties, divorce, relationship transitions, and addressing the aftermath of affairs. I have training in several evidenced-based treatment models which I integrate in a practical, flexible manner.My approach to treatment is collaborative and respectful of autonomy and difference.
My clients and I work together to increase compassion, generosity and well-being so they experience an improvement in the quality of their relationships. I take into account the particular needs of each individual as well as fostering intimacy in relationships.
