My approach to therapy is humanistic and strengths-based. I work with my clients to discover past and present successes and use these to address the challenges they face. I also use elements of narrative therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients recognize that the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem. I am trained in relaxation techniques, including hypnotherapy. I am so fortunate that people choose to share their stories and their lives with me.
I work with children, teens, and adults individually, as couples, and as families or groups. My specialty is grief & loss of all kinds, including bereavement, loss of health (chronic & terminal illness), loss of a beloved pet, retirement, and moving away from home (and other teen/young adult issues)
My office is near I-95 making it accessible to Broward & Dade. The office is relaxed & comfortable ensuring an environment consistent with the services I offer - on the path to a healthy & happy you! CURRENTLY ON HOLD DUE TO COVID…….Space is limited. Register at www.lisazucker.com/register . Eight week structured therapeutic group with specific educational and therapeutic topics. This is a closed group, meaning members should commit to the full eight weeks and new members can only start during week one. Make-up meetings may be available in subsequent sessions for absences that could not be avoided. Understand grief, work through many of the feelings you are experiencing, maintain a continuing bond with your child, and begin to set future goals.
