Struggling in your relationships?! I'm a relational psychoanalytic psychotherapist. Interpersonal Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (IPT) is an approach to psychotherapy that integrates psychoanalytic principles with a focus on interpersonal relationships. In this process, the goal is to identify and change maladaptive ways of relating to others. It explores how a person's interactions with others, past and present, contribute to their psychological difficulties. The therapy aims to help clients understand and navigate their interpersonal challenges, leading to symptom relief and improved functioning.
IPT pays attention to communication styles, patterns of interaction, and interpersonal conflicts. By exploring these aspects, the therapy aims to enhance the patient's interpersonal skills and improve their relationships.
I'll be accepting new patients, self-pay, beginning MAY 2024! We will have between 1 to 3 consultation sessions before deciding to move treatment forward. Consultation sessions are $100 each, after which, sessions are $225 an hour self-pay (60 minutes) or I can bill health insurance carrier if I'm a credentialed provider.
