I often view my work as supporting bodies in transition - in whatever form that comes. Many of my clients are those with medical illness or injury, caregivers, mothers, or trauma survivors who are faced with the impact that change in their physical self has on their mental and emotional well-being. Clients often wish to explore the mind-body connection, integrate non-verbal approaches, or find a new perspective on therapy. I also work with infants and children who deserve the same compassionate care, but don't benefit from verbal therapy in the same way.
I am a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, which is the use of movement and creative expression in psychotherapy to promote the mind-body integration for a sense of wholeness. I utilize verbal and movement-based approaches, including ACT, CBT and narrative therapy. I am also a trained grief counselor and values-based advance care planning specialist.
The idea of therapy can feel vulnerable and overwhelming. I hope to offer a compassionate, collaborative approach to healing that taps into the authentic self and individual strengths. I invite clients to take a step outside of the pressure to speak, develop recognition of their body as part of their mental health, and find value in the person as a whole.

Healing Movement for Chronic Pain
GROUP IS CURRENTLY ON HIATUS. This group offers an evidence-informed approach to gentle and creative movement for reducing the experience of pain and pain-related anxiety. Group encourages positive experiences of the body, and reduction of the amount of time/energy given to chronic pain in daily lives. Offered in a community of support and understanding around the chronic pain experience. Participants will be asked to move only as able, with chairs provided. All ages and movement levels welcome.
