I have been practicing for over 28 years as a couples, family and individual therapist, for children, adolescents and adults. My areas of specialty include relationships, how to manage conflicts, parenting teens, how to maintain intimacy and co-parent effectively, including the difficulties of dating, infidelity, divorce, sex and finances. Early career work supervising therapists in a court based crisis unit led me to many decades of work with NYC teens and their families.
My post masters training is in couples and family therapy from the Ackerman Institute. I utilize an eclectic approach including Psychodynamic, Emotionally Focused Therapy (attachment theory), Mindfulness Parenting, DBT and Psychoanalytic methods.
My treatment plan is tailored to the needs of my patients, the issues you are struggling with and the goals you hope to achieve in therapy.
