I like to look at the big picture and help people explore how all areas of their life can affect overall mood and functioning. I have training in DBT & CBT and have worked in multiple settings from inpatient hospital to in-home family therapy to school based therapy. The best compliment I've received as a therapist is that I'm easy to talk & relate to.
I enjoy working with people with diabetes (and other chronic illnesses) to help to identify and manage the stress that chronic illness brings. The connection between physical and mental health is huge and not always evident to those who haven't experienced it.
