All of us face periods in our lives when we feel stuck, confused, overwhelmed, or unhappy, but with the right support and insight, these experiences can be pivot points for change and growth. By asking how we got here, we can start to understand hidden patterns in our thinking and behavior, and reckon with the parts of ourselves, and our lives, that feel out of our control. Working together, we will explore both past and present, in order to create a new sense of clarity and agency in deciding what comes next.
I work with individuals and couples, helping to improve relationships by reducing blame and stress, and increasing thoughtful communication. Trained in psychodynamic therapy, I draw on several approaches to suit each patient’s unique needs. I promote an atmosphere that is safe, responsive, and dynamic, fostering curiosity, bravery and compassion.
I trained at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies where I am currently a faculty member. I’m also on the editorial staff of Psychoanalytic Perspectives and a contributor here, at Psychology Today. Call me to hear more about me and how I work.
