I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience working in diverse mental health settings including private practice. My experience includes working with diverse age groups including adolescents, college-age and adult populations. I have worked extensively with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with school-based behavioral and academic problems. My work has included working with adolescents and young adults who are on the spectrum, gifted students, those who struggle socially and academically, and students who have experienced trauma or upheaval in their family.
I provide individual and family therapy to address major life transitions, daily stressors, relationship conflicts, and communication issues. I believe it is important to work with each individual to reach their potential to be a productive member of their community and to feel empowered to become more engaged and connected with family and friends.
Over the course of my career, I have worked with parents and educators in home and school settings, as well as crisis treatment centers, to facilitate the necessary treatments and accommodations to provide a successful learning environment for these students. After an initial evaluation, I will work with you to determine the best treatment course.
