I believe that as human beings, we are hard-wired with the need to get our emotional experience into the mind of a trusted other. My work as a psychotherapist is to find emotional resonance with my clients' life experiences, deriving both from their family of origin and from present-day situations and relationships. Whether a client is depressed, anxious, struggling with relationship problems, trying to overcome traumatic experiences, or trying to find their own unique, personal voice in a complex world, talking in psychotherapy can help to expand your capacity for growth and happiness.
I am a psychoanalyst in individual and couples psychotherapy, and a forensic psychologist in criminal and civil legal proceedings. I am interested in your life history, how this history has shaped your current human experience, from ordinary life problems to serious mental illness. I also offer integration of difficult psychedelic experiences.
I work hard to make a relationship with clients that provides a context for understanding; using, in a few words, a relational psychoanalytic approach. I am additionally trained in mindfulness practices, yoga and other wisdom traditions, using them to inform my own experience of being. I'm easy to talk to!
