As we face life's challenges, unwelcome feelings such as anxiety and depression may impact our adjustment. Support during these critical periods has been proven to dramatically affect outcomes. As a therapist, I will companion you on a journey toward self awareness and an understanding of how subtle changes in perception and attitude can change your life. We can accomplish this in a safe and supportive milieu where we identify issues and work through them to develop coping skills and a sense of well-being.
I work with adults and geriatric clients and their families to provide support and identify solutions to support adjustment. My psycho-dynamic approach focuses on insight and self-awareness by exploring core values and patterns which develop subconsciously. With this foundation, we can break maladaptive habits and build upon strengths.
As a clinical social worker, I have practiced for many years in the fields of medical social work, hospice and palliative care, behavioral health, as well as individual, couples, and group counseling. I am pleased to offer counseling via telehealth or in the office setting.
