Core tenets of my practice are empathy, validation, support and interpersonal feedback. Additionally, I strive to provide culturally competent care. I regularly attend professional seminars to increase my awareness regarding issues related to systems of oppression and privilege.
My therapeutic style is friendly, empathic and direct. I strive to intently listen, foster self-awareness and work to create a safe and supportive environment. Compassion and validation set the stage to explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviors related to personal struggles.
