My approach with clients is engaging and interactive, and I am invested in a collaborative process, which I believe is inherent to the therapeutic relationship. I have 16 years experience working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of outpatient clinical settings, including private practice. Treatment focuses on relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting support, postpartum depression and considerations, phobias, panic disorder, stress management, and life transitions.
My therapeutic approach emphasizes relational elements and our active work together may include interventions for exploring and deepening emotional experience, identifying and reframing defense mechanisms, cognitive and affective restructuring, further development of healthy coping strategies, and developing or expanding upon mindfulness based practices.
