Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Programs
The essence of mindfulness is to bring focus and attention to life as it is happening in the present moment. Mindfulness training is recommended for stress, anxiety, pain, and non-acute depression. It facilitates adjustment to loss and life transitions. Mindfulness improves behavior and enhances concentration, leading to improved academic performance in children, and improved concentration and work performance in adults. These programs provide mindfulness training to youths and adults. Created by Reginald Roberts, Ph. D training includes meditation, yoga and principles of joyous and effective living. Sessions are available in an 8 session adult program and 13 session children's program ages 9-12.
