I specialize in working with individuals living with challenges related to trauma, grief, separation and loss, as well as sensitive sexual and relational issues. I use a great deal of sensory-integration and brain-based approaches providing a non-threatening, safe, and inviting relationship with which to share some pretty "scary" stuff. I help individuals improve their relationships with themselves and others, while feeling safer, feeling better about themselves, and feeling empowered in their own voice and actions.
I have a certification in the treatment of trauma and loss that focuses on sensory based interventions, working with the brain and the body, rather than solely using traditional "cognitive" or "talk therapy." These interventions are non-threatening and provide individuals with a sense of safety and control.
I provide a safe, non-threatening relationship, using play, art, music, movement and experiential interventions to tap into the body's experience of trauma and provide a language for which individuals can use to share their experience.
