I have been a practitioner since 2001. Working with Children, Adolescents, Families and Individuals through separations, divorce, school issues, peer problems, discipline, parenting, trauma, deployments and a variety of other life transitions. I am certified in EMDR using a technique called the "Fairy Tale Model" This technique is effective with client's of any age.
"The Best way out is Through it". I utilize EMDR training by the Child Trauma Institute.What happens after a very scary or painful experience? Instead of getting over it, we often get stuck. This can lead to distressing changes in how we feel, think, and act.EMDR can help getting "unstuck" and relieve symptoms.
EMDR is intensive for working through upsetting material. It should only be provided by a mental health professional with formal, supervised training in EMDR. It is safe, and does not involve hypnosis or drugs. Research has shown that EMDR can help to make treatment both fast and effective.
